In this post, Kevin Cheng, our head of Communications, writes about the latest edition of the Constellation Research Shortlist for Sales Productivity solutions, which Tact.ai was featured in.
One of our favorite analogies (and what has become a favorite topic with customers) is the Flintstones and Jetsons comparison. For salespeople, their consumer technologies — from iPhone and WhatsApp, to the Alexa and Lyft — have eliminated friction from their personal lives. In the workplace, however, they’re still facing tremendous friction from both the work apps they need to use and the people they need to corral to get deals done.
In fact, many sales organizations have invested in digital transformation initiatives over the past several years, integrating the newest technologies to enable more productive workforces. Dell’s famed study on the future of work from a couple of years ago predicted this trend, identifying that more than 50% of employees surveyed expect to be working in a smart office within the next five years. This number jumps dramatically among younger workforce to 69%.
Ask yourself are your sellers equipped in the right way, or are there Jetsons-level expectations with Flintstones-level resources and tools?
That’s why it is such an honor to be selected to Constellation Research’s 2019 ShortList for Sales Productivity. 20 different vendors were reviewed by the Institute of Independent Analyst Relations (IIAR) Firm of the Year, with six companies being selected to the list. R “Ray” Wang, chairman and founder at Constellation Research, said, “the latest Constellation ShortList updates reflect the leading solutions sought after by both our analysts and early adopter clients. We often work with market leader and fast follower clients to identify the leading solutions that apply exponential technologies to enterprise scale and security requirements. These lists constantly change, and the updates reflect the dynamism in the market and the expertise our analysts have in recommending the best solutions to our clients.”
